What is PivotPOS?
PivotPOS is an offline-first point of sale and business operating system for restaurants, lounges, hotels, retail stores, pharmacies, salons, service businesses and multi-branch teams. It handles sales, inventory, staff roles, receipts, online ordering, printer routing, payments and analytics from one platform.
How fast can a business start selling?
A business can create an account, choose its business type, add basic business details, add products or services, invite staff, register devices and start selling immediately. Advanced setup like printer stations, branch controls, receipt styles, online ordering and reservation rules can be completed later.
Can PivotPOS work when internet is down?
Yes. The POS app stores products, staff permissions, orders, payments and printing tasks locally after sign-in. Staff can keep selling and printing while offline, then PivotPOS syncs queued changes back to the server when the network returns.
How does restaurant table ordering work?
Waiters can open tables, add items with quantity controls and send preparation tickets to kitchen, bar, lounge or custom printer stations. Cashiers can view all open tables, print bills, settle payments and print receipts. Permissions control who can void, settle, print or manage tables.
Does every business get an ordering website?
Online ordering is available as a website add-on. Businesses can publish a branded storefront, collect customer details, accept dummy/test payments during setup, and route incoming orders to staff for approval and receipt printing.
Which payment provider does PivotPOS support?
PivotPOS is prepared for Paystack with test and live modes, platform charges, subaccount or split settlement settings and business-level payment instructions. Cash, card, transfer and other manual payment methods are also supported inside the POS.
Can a business switch plans later?
Yes. Platform owners can move businesses between plans, adjust due dates, configure grace days and manage add-ons. When downgrading, PivotPOS warns about features that may become unavailable, such as advanced reports, product images, branches, devices or custom receipts.
How are staff permissions controlled?
Each business can create roles such as owner, manager, cashier, waiter, inventory manager or supervisor. Permissions can be assigned per role, including selling, settling payments, printing receipts, voiding orders, managing inventory, starting business days and controlling sync hosts.
