Information we collect
We collect account and business information such as names, emails, phone numbers, business names, branches, roles, settings, plan details and billing-related records.
We also process operational data such as products, categories, brands, stock records, orders, payments, receipts, customers, printer profiles, device keys, sync logs, online orders and support messages.
Device and technical data
PivotPOS may collect device platform, device key, app version, IP address, request logs, network access rules, crash details, push notification tokens and diagnostic data needed to secure and operate the service.
For local network controls, PivotPOS may store allowed IP ranges and friendly network labels. The server enforces access based on request IP, not Wi-Fi SSID.
How we use information
We use information to provide the POS service, authenticate users, sync offline data, process orders, send receipts, notify staff, manage subscriptions, support customers, improve reliability and protect accounts.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand product usage, improve features and monitor platform health.
Customer data
Businesses may enter customer names, phone numbers, emails, order history and notes. This information is used for receipts, discounts, order updates, customer service and reporting.
Business owners are responsible for collecting customer information lawfully and honoring customer requests where applicable.
Sharing and processors
We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate PivotPOS, such as hosting providers, email services, payment gateways, analytics, crash reporting, app stores and support tools.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and security, or as part of a business transfer.
Security and retention
We use security controls such as authentication, role permissions, device registration, token handling and tenant-scoped data access. No system is perfectly secure, so businesses should also protect their devices and staff accounts.
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and maintain business records.
